so i'm watching tv just now and i see a toyota commercial on specials they are running for 2009 corollas and matrixs...
WTF IS GOING ON HERE?
i thought there was a rule that says they have to be somewhere near 4th or atleast 3rd quarter to release the next years body style?
THIS IS MARCH... still just barely 2008 and we have 2009 models out?
this pisses me off because it's misleading to used car buyers. should used car buyers now have to be astute enough to check carfax reports - and compute dates - to figure out what year the vehicle they are looking at actually is??

Calm yourself...they often release the next years models by May/June/July of the current year...where have you been?

since when??? i know august releases are pretty regular... May seems pretty damn early. March is just f*cked up!
for instance, when a used car shopper buys, let's say a 2005 car. the sales guy is going to say oh and remember this car has a 4 year factory warranty too! but if it was sold an entire year early, the warranty would be GONE. i know it's buyer beware, but as a whole, it's very misleading.
if the cars are on the lots in March 08 before, the build date more than likely is late 2007. so how the hell can a car built in 2007 be considered a 2009???
I agree, March is too early. Are the '09 actually available now, or are they just advertising in advance to work up some hype about them?? As far as warranty goes...I always remember that little buzz line "from the in service date of the vehicle".

the commercial said they were having a SALE on the 2009's! which sounds to me like they've been on the lots for some time...
