Oh yah...it looks really big too!

with every new rendetion of the Altima, it seems to get bigger and much more similar to the Maxima. In fact, the current model Altima and Maxima are almost indiscernible from one another unless you see it from the rear...
i think that's why nissan is trying to make it more distinct.

*correction. damn i fucked that up*

i dont see one GT-R cue in the max. the front end makes me think of new hondas or somewhat Lexus.

there is NO GT-R in this car what so ever. and i think and hope. Nissan keep all GT-R cues to the GT-R. that way keep the GT-R totally exclusive

Overall I like it, not too crazy on the rear end though. Best thing I can say for the rear is they finally got over the clear lens craze.

Ok, maybe I need to lay off the acid, but I think take out the bumper and the large grill seems in proporton to the GTR. In general, I like the looks mainly because it looks less family car and more aggressive. But they did drop the ball on the headlights.

haha i have never tried it but i heard acid is some good shit. but ive heard it does tend to skew ones prespective.

when i see this car. theres nothing that puts me in mind of the GT-R in anyway. and i hope no other nissan or infinti has any GT-R styling cues unless its the Infiniti GT-R Sedan. thats the only vehicle it would be
acceptable

as i said when i see this car i think Honda instantly then think of the Lexus LS

I'm jk about the acid, but I started wondering if there was any buzz about this and there is some other people saying the they see the GT-R too.
"Sporting an all-new look that incorporates an angular motif not unlike the high performance Nissan GT-R, the 2009 Nissan Maxima will be powered by 3.5-litre V6 engines delivering more than 200kW of power, derived from the VQ engine series that originated with theNissan 350Z."
Motoring Channel Staff - 20/March/2008

However, I ran across something else, it looks like the new 370Z will get the same god awful headlights.

wow... ummm... part of me thinks it's very ugly, part of me thinks it's kinda neat.... looks BIG... also a huge departure from standard Nissan/Infiniti styling...... both inside and out.
