Default RS4 lacking in power

Ok so will someone explain to me where the hell the 415hp went??

m5board.com presents: BMW M5 2003 vs Audi RS4 2006 with - Yahoo! Video

This 2003 400hp M5 handles this RS4 with ease. I have no idea what an RS4 weighs though....

Just you

I got this from M5board...a very legitimate racing sight. There are several other videos i located of SRT8's and more older M5's stomping on the RS4. RS4 upon futher research, weighs nearly 4200lbs and traps the quarter at 106 - was the highest i saw. This makes the car about the same speed as an M3 or 335i. Cars weighs over 200lbs more than my E55...which has a bigger blown engine and is a foot and a half longer. The car also lacks the neccessary torque to get all that weight up to speed. The car is quick but not fast enough to run with its competitors. I mean it i spend 75k on an RS4, i don't expect a 45k 335i to be able to run with me down the highway.

yeah RS4's are sick but are hogs. i have now come to favor the S5 i cant wait for the RS5. but i still dont like how the S5 has a BMW inspired ass

It just sucks to put all that R&D into a motor, build a great looking 4 door (which isn't easy to do), and then weigh it down with 4200lbs. You mean to tell me that a C63...which has a 6.3 litre V8...a way bigger engine than an RS4...and it weighs 3650lbs....but Audi can't??? Besides the 4WD i'd love to know where the weight goes.

Here is a great video on the big 3

i had virtually the same car... there's not many differences amongst the b6/b7 pack... there's tons of insulation in there. the doors are very very thick. and the cabin is virtually silent at any speed. it all comes down to a much more quality feel than the 3 series or C class (test drove them both before buying the audi) but it adds lots of weight i am sure.
