Oh booo looksfast... you stole this idea out of the Men's Journal article that was in this month's issue, didn't you? I'm on to you, you know!
If you didn't know (coughing... "HARDLY") there is an article that was written about two guys who did it in an M5. They broke some sort of record doing it. Used 2 GPS's, deterctor/jammer set up, two laptops, CB's... Well, I'm out of breath. Read it for your own damn self...
As for me, I'll take a Gulfstream V, thanks..... I'll play GT4 or Need for Speed on the PS3, or Wii, or maybe both. While drinking a cocktail.
If you take the road to Hana and there's like a buck seventy five in change on the road your high performance automobile might not be able to climb that mountain.
I drove that road.....not fun at all. Made me car sick.....and I don't get car sick.

Running that fast in a vehicle will kill mpg's. The Ford would probably be getting 8 mpg, so with 340 gallons of fuel onboard you go go about 2700 miles on one fill up.
what about the weight of the fuel??

In any car traveling that fast fuel consuption will be very high, in most cars, to travel 2,700 at an average of 120 mph would require anywhere between 450 (5 mpg) to 180 (15 mpg) gallons of fuel. Figuring most cars hold maybe 30 gallons of fuel, you would need to stop for fuel may 6 to 15 times to make the distance. The truck could run the distance on one fuel fill-up. That would give you more time to relax between dring times.
The extra weight would not be an issue for a moving vehicle that much.

So i'm guessing that handling and braking a big diesel truck at speeds of 120mph would be similar to that of a sports car?
