List price about 100K, what do you think the dealers will tack on this one? If it is too high, it will be in the Ferrari price range and that would not be good. I'll bet they will try to tack 40-50 K on them at first and some fools will buy them.

I say $20k more for a minimum $120,000 price.

^^^I wonder if Chevy will institute the program when they had the late 80's ZR-1 come out............no taking the car until you come and get some training on it.

for real, they should. im just tired of this HP that cant be used. and now with the this ZR-1 theres just even more unuseful HP
actually, GM reworked the cars rear end put heavier bigger 20" rims and wider tires (335's) and put extra weight on the rear end, just to make sure the car could grip.

but the question is how much grip. do you really think this car can put its power down better than the Z06 could? im not thinking so
GM has just tried to up the ante, but it sort of seems that all the players have left the table to play another game.
It'll be interesting to see what sort of car GM will put out. Not just in the HP cat, but on the rest of the car. If they do end up charging 100K for it, will it be worth it? Now that's a question I'd like to see answered.
All in all, things should get pretty good. I mean if GM can make the car luxurious enough, it would definitely be a option for those who buy SL63 AMG's and those other high HP GT's, but it'll be cheaper by a wide margin.

Why you ask? Because THEY CAN!! Joking aside, I think Corvette is setting its sights on Ferrari. It killed the Mustang, and is now aiming at Maranello. Bar none, the Z06 is the best bang for your buck car on the planet. There's nothing American that can touch it, not even the Viper, and it's in rare company performance-wise with the "true exotics". There are a small handful of cars that can run on a track with a 'Vette. If Chevy kicks everything up a notch in the car, and refines it, it'll be on the same field as anything coming out of Germany, or Italy. Pictures of that car don't come close to doing it justice. Seeing them on the street, they look like a Ferrari. And than you go... "Oh, it just a 'Vette..." If they can change that persona, it will go from bottom of the depth chart, to the middle, or top 1/3.
