If all you want is straight line speed, get a 4 wheel drive, turbo-diesel crew cab pickup truck. With a few mods you will have a super fast straight line ride.
E55's engine is hand made bro. that is one hell of an engine, and the E55 is faster than the E63 which lacks the supercharger. The AMG's we have in the family havent had engine issues.
I guess what you should be avoiding is the super cool stuff that they have, like a hydraulic trunk closer for example otherwise they're good cars
I saw a write up on the two- the E55 and E63 run the same quarter mile time, but the E63 traps 1mph faster, basically there is not much difference. Guy at Benz told me today that he has a White E63 coming off a one year lease that he will be able to make me a deal on. It better be a "deal" or i'm getting the E55. I still have about 2months max to make the purschase.
theres one thing a diesel truck can't pull...that's pussy.
That would depend on where you live, but if you want just fast line speed they are hard to beat. A guy in town has an Excursion that has so much torque he can hardly drive it on the road. It will just melt the tires if he hits the throttle too hard.

i dont know. my cousin has both and he says there's a kick to the 55 that's missing in the 63. trust me they're both real fast. I'd personally go for the 63 coz it looks sharper man
seriously, i don't know where you guys live but the new crew cabs are really nice. even the outgoing GM heavy duty's are really nice... all it is basically is a Suburban with a bed in the back. Otherwise identical inside, leather, wood etc. and there's just as much leg room front/rear as a suburban/tahoe.
