ATS carbon limited-slip differential
Gives me more bite coming out of the turns at the track.
Most of you also have this from the factory, but a far less effective viscous type.
ATS is a clutch type and usese carbon plates.
Oh my.. That is dirty.

It's getting close to that time again and I'm getting ready to rowdy up another group of Gs 'n Zs for this annual festivity. This is also a HPDE (High Performance Driving Education) event for newbs to tracking. So no need to get intimidated. I'm going to see about forcing beanie to do this.
Of course spectators are also welcomed for free. You can simply show up and decide if you'd like to partake next time, but I assure you you'd kick yourself silly for not tracking when you see and feel it in person.
Typically we'll also plan a elaborate winery tour out of this too. Folks you've got months to think about ... let's make this a 6mt meet!
Man you have a ATS carbon diff? How does it feel Clint? How does it compare to the stock diff? I know you track your car often.
Quite simply put it RAWKS!
Stock viscous LSD is simply not up to the duty cycle of extended tracking using R-compound tires. ATS is a clutch type LSD like the Nismo, Cusco and Kaaz, but without any of the clicks and snaps that plaques the streetability - thanks to the carbon discs that mates w. butter-like efficiency. Some real cool shiet!
I consider myself to be of average intelligence with a solid level of reading comprehension. Admittedly, I'm still a novice in this world of import high performance cars, modifications and track racing.
So reading your post felt like I was reading this, "After the install the typical clutch-type thingy techy talk, disc, 8 turns, pricey, disc to disc, hip bone connected to the back bone, back bone connected to the neck bone techy talk techy talk . . . improved performance. The ATS was again seamless in its operation on the track. The LSD ( I had no idea he did drugs) clutch engagements were fluid and progressive as advertised. I didn’t notice sudden jerks or disruption of power – like butter."
I do understand that it greatly increased the performance of your racing experience overall

^^^thats really cool, I always wondered why everyone was so proud of their VLSD....its basically like attaching another Torque converter to your drivetrain.
sounds like a great addition....surprised there arnt to many people who do this
