he must be a horrible driver, or you have some suspension work done because a z06 will hand a g coupe it's ass in handling stock v. stock. it would be even worse on the drag strip. shit, i was dropping off some parts to a buddy close by and when i got there he had just got done riding. he told me he just got took in the hills on his modded r6 by some z06....this guy is an experienced rider and for him to get dusted in the twisties by a car is outstanding
as for styling, which on is better is 100% perspective. it's all about one's personal opinion.
the only areas where the G beats the z06 is in price, and luxury/comfort. the z06 is a badass car and is the total package on a road course. however, it's not something i would want to drive on a daily basis. besides from being very low to the ground, it is no where near as refined as the g. a lot more bumps and road noises. i have driven many late models from c4's, c5/c5z06 to brand new c6's. (i don't think the c6z06 is even out yet, but i for one haven't seen or heard of anyone who has seen one rolling around)
however, these 2 cars you can't really compare. the G is made to be a comfortable luxury car with a sporty edge. the z06 is a street legal track car. would be horrible in traffic everyday, but the performance speaks for itself.
personally, i would have got the G. but i already have a toy to play around with on the weekends and was looking for something to drive to work and school in total comfort, yet still sporty.
