wow, that is not good news. I had my engine replaced in my 06 @ 20k. To be honest with you, most manufacturers say that 1qt/1000 miles is "normal" and will not do anything about it. Also, many cars DO burn 1qt/1000 miles. I know I'm going to hear plenty of responses about "my car doesn't burn anything" blah blah blah, but the fact is that many do. O ya, my new engine doesn't burn much at all, less than 1 qt/ 4000 miles with almost 7k on it now.
