Default Infiniti Lease?

Why doesn't Infiniti have better lease programs. I thought Infiniti would have the same lease rates as Lexus. Correct me if I'm wrong but does Lexus have beter resale value than Infiniti?

So far I've been quoted by two stealerships. 0 down, 579 a month for 36months.

Lexus definately does not have better resale than Infiniti. However, Lexus is beginning to play the same game as BMW and Benz where they have over inflated residuals that are subsidized by the factory. Also, just because the payment is higher than you expected doesnt mean the residual is bad. With the economy the way it is, banks have tightened up on the loans they are giving out and therefore you might see some money factors that have been bumped up recently. I would look at the whole breakdown of the lease before you jump to any conclusions. Also, if you are looking at a Lexus promotional lease ad, make sure you are comparing with IS350. Also, remember all ADVERTISED leases are usually 10,000miles/year so if you are working numbers at an Infiniti dealership with 12k or 15k per year, that adds about $20/month plus tax for each incriment you go up. Keep in mind you also pay sales tax on your monthly payment....ie: here in Orange County (CA) a car with a 10k/year lease payment of $400/month that someone then bumps to 12k/year would be something like $420ish plus tax (about $453). Also keep in mind that if you are putting $0 (literally NOTHING) down at lease signing, you are way under what those lease advertisements are looking for (usually a couple thousand, unless youre Audi) and you are also rolling additional costs (registration, document fees, tire tax, county fees, security deposit {if applicable} into your lease).

I see your point but just be sure to compare apples to apples and look at the TOTAL lease breakdowns...I had an IS350 for 9 months prior to my G37S and I'd never go back...haha P.M. me if you have more questions or anything...

Cheers!! (sry for the long post)

G37,

Thank you. I am comparing the G37S to the IS350 and what I've found is that the Infiniti is close to $80 more to lease than the Lex. I've priced out both cars and I'm not looking for it to be the same but with atleast a 20-25 dollar difference. Maybe I should keep looking around...thanks again.

G37,

I forgot to ask...why did you get rid of the Lex and go with G? Please elaborate.

First off...what is the MSRP difference between the G37S you are comparing and the IS350?? Keep in mind its about $25ish/month plus tax for every $1000 difference in MSRP..USUALLY!!

I got rid of the IS350 for quite a few reasons. FIRST AND MOST IMPORTANT>>>IT WAS AN AUTOMATIC!!!! Second, I HATED the suspension, it was so very soft and had no handling capabilities. The car was fast, dont get me wrong which was great. However, I like to have fun throwing my car around on the road. Third, the seats (although very comfortable) were just a bit "couch like" and I prefer something a bit more supportive. Fourth, I have always had a passion for the G35 Coupe and the exhaust note which the IS350 had no noticeable tone so I decided to go G37S. Im sure if I got back into an IS, I could list off a few more but on the top of my mind those are the biggest reasons.

Drive a G37S and really get your foot into it and take a corner fast. There is no noticeable body roll or hesitation. Then to the same with an IS350, its almost scary going into a turn quickly. You find yourself slowing down a lot more than you did in the G because the IS just doesnt feel as solid through turns. Let me know what you think!!

Well I pulled the trigger. Went to my local dealer and picked an 08 G37S. Premium Package, Platinum Graphite. The only option I would have liked was a spoiler. The car is very nice to drive and I was also drawn to this car because of the exhaust note. I'm very happy about my decision. If I could pick out one thing I don't like least about the car would be the stereo. I put 1K down and monthly is $520. 12K a yr for 39 Mo.

I am not trying to be a smart ass but this thread gives me some comofrt. I am paying 524 per month for 39 months and 15k miles for G35S with Premium and Technology package. It is hard to guestimate the residual on this car but this was a better deal for the money than my last lease.

I am a lease a car for 3 years type of guy as long as I own another one
