I doubt Infiniti would want to rip off anything from the eclipse

Yeah, I see what you mean. On the eclipse I agree that it would be better if it were the color of the car but for some reason I just think that the chrome looks nice on the G37. On a black car it would be a toss up, but in any other color I like the chrome.

Haha, yeah I'm not sure if it is a copy of the eclipse, but it is a very similar concept and it may very well be. It looks better on the G37 any way--and hell, if it looks good who cares if it's a copy; all cars copy each other to some extent.

Thats ok
I think it's better with the overlays so the amber on the side of the light dosn't look as bright

I've never seen overlays on those vehicles, but regardless of the car, I still don't care for them and they seem a little out of place & ricy for my taste. Its your car and if you like them thats is all that matters.

really? i've never seen them on ricey cars. ricers usually get euro tail lights and whack projector headlights. i've seen overlays on some sick murcielago's, gallardo's, M6's, porsches etc.

I did a search and could only find pics of some AMG's with them. I just think they look out of place. Kind of unnatural if that makes sense. I'd say they'd look okay on a black vehicle but not one where there would be a large contrast from body color to lights. It reminds me of the days when people put those big plastic headlight covers on their cars in the 90's...and knight rider.
