I had this problem with my 07 G35 coupe. it died for no reason. I had droven it the night beofre. but in the morning it didnt turn on., i called infiniti roadside assistance they showed up after 4 hours (since it was parked by my house)
I come downstairs, put stick thekey inside, the stereo goes off and i tired to turn it on (I was like WTF) and it just turned on but in a wierd way... like when ur battery is all messed up and needs to be relaced soon... and that never happened ever again...
Can someone please tell me how to reset the Programmed Window Stops
on my 2004 G35. I changed the battery and now the passenger window
goes down 4 inches when you shut the door or try to put it all the way up ??
From what I understood the battery issue is like the OC issue, hit and miss. There are a couple of threads in Driver about this. I bought my 05 over a year ago, and it had the original battery. It died the next day. I bought a Duralast and haven't had any problems since. But I think it is common for the Infiniti's.
And I have 2 friends here, both with 04 coupes, and both have had to replace the window motors numerous times. I had no idea about the reset. I will have to let them know about this!

If You Have The Battery Problem - Ask For Lemon!!!
Folks,
I have had the unfortunate experience of dealing with the electrical issues, mainly the dead battery anywhere from few days to few weeks of unuse of my '08 G37 so many times. I took the more cordial approach of believing in the two different service departments telling me that there was absolutely nothing wrong in the car and convincing me that any car will die if you don't use for a week attitude.
Finally when I had my battery die again and the professional towing service couldn't even jumpstart the car about a couple of months ago, I decided to go to the next level. I had the car towed to the dealership. Guess what? they ADMITTED that there was power drain which they had claimed never existed in my countless trips to the same department. I then contacted and asked Infiniti Consumer Affairs for repurchase/replacement of this car under the lemon law coverage which was denied due to expiration of Statue of Limitation in my state (VA). However, I asked Infiniti Consumer Affairs two times in the last 18 months to really take care of this issue which one file disapperead and the other one was closed without a diagnosis or solution and notiifying the customer. I had the car for 20 months when I asked for this and apparently if I had asked it 2 months earlier, they WOULD HAVE REPLACED the car but they were so happy I missed the deadline. Apparently the SOL in VA was 18 months but this varies from State to State so check your State's Lemon law.
Infiniti Consumer Affairs was not ONLY VERY HOSTILE and DISRESPECTFUL but more importantly what they claimed will fix the car had nothing to do with the issue and would not allow me to meet with their technical specialist who diagnosed it OVER THE PHONE (Remember two different service departments' mechanics failed to diagnose it earlier with the car in their possession and that Infiniti's internal process rules require them to have their district technical specialist to meet with the client). INFINITI IS A TERRIBLE COMPANY WITH THE WORST CUSTOMER RELATIONS PEOPLE AT THE CONSUMER AFFAIRS! DO NOT - I REPEAT DO NOT WAIT FOR THEM TO PLAY YOU BACK AND FORTH AT THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT. IF YOU HAVE HAD 3 OR 4 VISITS FOR THE SAME REASON AND THE ISSUE WAS NOT RESOLVED FOR GOOD - JUST FILE AND START A REPURCHASE PROCESS WITH CONSUMER AFFAIRS BEFORE YOU RUN OUT OF YOUR LEGAL RIGHTS! I have had many cars in the past from european to american to japanese ranging from the cheapest Fiat and renault to BMW. I HAVE NEVER HAD AS BAD EXPERIENCE AS I HAD WITH INFINITI. Please understand that they may be very cordial and nice to you at the dealership but being cordial and nice does not make up for the failure of being able to diagnose an evident and a serious problem and admitting it only after the legal period to address it has passed. My few cents worth advice.
I will be trading in this car and get another car from a real CAR company that treats the customer right way as soon as they return the car.

Hello cakici and welcome to 6MT. I very sorry to here about your bad experiences and I appreciate your attempt at warning people of this issue.
Since you've said that their specialist diagnosed the problem over the phone, it might be even more beneficial to the rest of us here if you could share a detailed description of what, where, and exactly how your car was malfuntioning, and exactly what they did to fix it so that we might add it to a knowledge base here for all in the future. That would be immeasurably more helpful. Thanks.
'08 G37S been having the same issues. I just bought a new battery today and then decided to go in and have a beer after looking at how difficult it is going to be to replace it.
I sure hope the new battery works--will let you know if I still have issues.

Hello and welcome to 6MT !
Sorry to hear about the battery. As you can see, the previous poster never responded back....oh well
Did you have a dealer look at or at least log a history of this problem with your car. A 1-1/2 year old car shouldn't need a new battery....I'd want to make sure it was documented if there's further problems.

I've given up trying to switch the battery--how ridiculous. I can still jump it, so will just take it to the dealership tomorrow. Unfortunately I did disconnect the battery, so now need to go figure out the windows and reprogram all of my settings again. Ugh.
I agree, I shouldn't need a new battery. Seems bizarre.
