3 cars at my house, not a slushbox among them. MTs are getting harder and harder to find each time we look for a new car, but the availability of a MT usually makes a big difference in what we buy.
a g37, 3 series and a jeep?
umm can you buy me an M6 hardtop?

If you are in crazy NY or beltway traffic and drive every day to work in it I would prob opt for the auto. Autos are usually easier to re-sell.... but the g35 MT has a higher resale than the AT does..
MT is by far the most fun. I am so used to driving stick that I can talk on the phone, drink a beer....I ment water, and just about anything else without any problems...

I'm pretty sure the MT would, several ppl here have boosted 6mts with little or no tranny stuff done, while the guy that was building his AT up had to redo his torque converter and a few other things.
To the starter:
I've driven auto or manual either one without much care, it honestly doesn't make a big difference to me. I bought my truck with manual because it was cheap, the bike is self explanatory, I bought my G coupe auto cuz i got a great deal on it (7k under asking price!), the benz, well, only came in auto so there ya go, also theres a female driving the SUV...... My next car is 100% sure gonna be a manual, but its gonna be like a "fun" car which won't be driven to and from work or on business trips, only on weekends and evenings.

6MT for sure. 5AT's should get a valve body kit at least and maybe a stronger torque converter. I have two buddies with FI 5MT's that had to do that with their trannys. I haven't needed anything for my 6MT. A lightweight flywheel and better clutch may be needed later though.

I have a manual. Test drove the automatic and it is a com plete waste of time. There is absolutely no comparisson. The stick handles like a dream and is almost overpowered. Using the clutch and gears to control going around a corner is incredible.

I would think that in the case of the G a manual transmission would be best. Any thoughts?
Funny, the dealer I visited in NY said they only sell 1 manual for ever 4 automatics with the G coupe.
