im sorry but u cant hide the performance of a 335i and say i had the money and didnt want performance..
if its performance, u cant beat the luxry and performance of the 335i for the price.
if ur not looking for performance go somewhere else.
i have to disagree. i was in the market ffor both G37S and 335i coupe with sport packages. yes the 335i pumps out a lot of torque at lower rpms and does handle well. but after driving both cars back to back i felt more comfortable driving the G37. i felt that there was too much lean/body roll on the BMW and that the G37S was more planted. everyone is different. many people like the 335i and how it handles..the way you can command the tail to twitch given the right moment. going from light to light no one minds the slight lag. for me i guess i'm more suited to the charcterisitcs of an n/a car like the G37. it's all about preference. plus having the G37 stay planted (the lsd helps too) during high cornering is what i wanted. not that the 335i does not corner well. it does. but many drivers are different.
i think car should suit the driver and not the other way around.
they were both great cars...and i was torn for a while. but i felt i liked the characterisitcs of the G better than the 335i after several weeks of test driving (don't even ask how many dealerships i had to go to to do back to back comparos..lol)
No. The 335i is the better performing, better looking vehicle. The G37 is marginally better than the G35. The interior updates were a huge plus, but the perfomance isn't anything to rave home about.

to your remarks, S4 is not faster than a 335i, and i blow by them on the track.
something else i picked up from car and driver.
Between the two, you’d expect the 335i to be more supple over bumps, have vastly more interior room, and be as refined as a Lexus. But what floored us was that the 335i’s best lap (3:10.5) was 1.2 seconds quicker than the M coupe’s. It’s a case of neutral handling over outright speed. Whereas the M coupe had understeer at turn-in that switched to oversteer at the exit, the 335i was nearly perfectly balanced everywhere and made up most of its time in the region between the braking zone and turn apex. The 335i does everything remarkably well, which is why many of us at Car and Driver think it’s the best all-around car in the world.
here the RS4 article from C&D
The closest comparative car this time around was the BMW 335i coupe, which also has decent-sized rear seats. The BMW was almost one second quicker around VIR, despite dramatically lower peak speeds on the straights. The RS 4 simply overloads its tires too quickly when the steering wheel is turned. If it weren’t for the four-wheel-drive system ensuring that the power can be applied early at corner exit, the RS 4 would have been even farther behind the competition in the LL3 class.
btw if u read on some forums for the 335i.. there are engine tunes for sale now that puts the 335i at over 350WHP and into the 4.4 second range to 60mph.
im just a car enthusiants and i just give credit where it is deserves even tho i own the car.
you 'blow past s4s'? really? because the s4 runs a consistant 4.8 0-60. RS4 runs 4.5-4.7 depending. for the 335, i have seen times from 4.7-5.1 the more credible sources are reporting the higher end...
and you're comparing a sedan to a coupe. the coupe is much smaller. wait until the s5 comes out - it will be far superior in every way to the 335i.

then how do you explain the G being a tad quicker around the track?
and the 335i better looking? haha give me some of what you are smoking

what i dont like about the S5 is that the rear end seems to be inspired by BMW's styling
and im not sure abou tthe last comment preformance wise. b/c my homeboy just did the Audi Driving experience and said the s4 is faster than the s5
but that the s5 was really nice and his brother is thinking of getting rid of his A8 and getting the S5

i thought the same thing, but it's not really BMW's own style, the Germs always seem to be on the same page (style-wise)... Expect the other Audi models to follow suit.
when I had my A4, people were always confusing it for a BMW, even with the 4 rings of fury up front.

as for the s4 vs. s5... i am not too sure. The s5 is based on the a4's platform so it will be about the same size. i assume the s5 will be considerably lighter than the s4 though, and with the same motor, it'd be quicker if that were the case.
i guess we will have to wait and see when the production models hit our shores -- i can't wait!!
