Do some research you'll find it. I'm surprised that you didn't know this already. The Z/G was penned here in Nissan's SoCal design studio. The VQ35 was a Renault design. Yes, I know the VQ has long been a Nissan motor, but the 3.5 version was messaged/refined/designed by Renault engineers along with Nissan engineers. Of course, the Japanese build the damn cars, rattles and all.

hmm for some reason i thought it was the opposite. Everything was designed by renault except for the engine... i dont know, i cant find the link anymore.
anyway, that's beside the point.

So True!! In my neighborhood, every other car is a BMW. (The rest are Mercedes!). There is NOTHING special about owning (or leasing a Bimmer here). They are all over and all look the same!

My wife had a 325i (sedan, mt) a few years back. It was very nice, very tight, well made, had panache, but was slow and underpowered. My G35 sedan is way more fun to drive!

i've been afraid of that... but they will never have the popularity of BMW. (i hope not)

many people are buyin the G these days but the BMW will always sell heavily. its the benchmark of the industry for a reason. many ppl have owned BMWs for years and are brand loyal.
