Good find, it looks like there won't be any more mysteries as to how much HP the car will have. I wish the car was a little lighter and quicker off the line. Oh well, I think the car will be pretty popular.

So its got the dual intake too? That would be sick throwing in TWO Z-Tubes! It would add like 50 hp and would be teh pwnage OMGLOL!

but in all seriousness. With the new G, there are going to be even fewer ways to get extra horsepower than there are now. tuners are going to have to make dual intake plenums and charge more and shit. I think I am going to stick with my 06 personally. And doesn't everyone know by now never to buy the first year of a car? The 03 Gs had their fair share of problems, but the 06s are (mostly) bulletproof. I just hope its got a better transmission, as I feel thats the real shortcoming of the G.

I seriously doubt that it would add 50 hp, if Infiniti could have a 380hp G37 because of a 50 dollar plastic part i'm sure they would have to say "no, sorry that 50 bucks is gonna add too much to msrp, we'll leave it at 330"

If nobody bought the first year of a car, there would be no succeeding years either. The problems are all warranty covered and it's the price you pay for having the newest one out.

Read the article, they put a new tranny in there.

Correct me if I am wrong, but the E46 M3 had 333hp, and 260tq with similar weight to the upcomin G37 ( within 200 pounds ) and they are still a tad quicker than the new 335i, not much but a tad, and that was with the old rating system not the new sae ratings. So with the G37 having 330hp and 270tq (new ratings) one would have to assume that it will be a real performer, and real competition to the 335i, cause there are no "procedes" on the test drive it is just car against car. I think it will be great and cannot wait to see some real world testing and #'s.

isnt the weight difference 600 lb's? i thought one was ~3100 and the other is like ~3600+
the first people who drove it (edmunds) said it didnt feel as fast as 335 tho

the e46 was about 3450, and the G37 is estimated 3700 and butt dyno's aren't always reliable.
