Does anybody have any idea on the new coupes horsepower? Any write ups posted on the net anyone is aware of ? I heard somewhere that it might be around 317hp. I hope they didnt make the car heavier either.

No, it will just be called the G-Coupe now, no 3.5 or 3.7 anymore.

Doing some quick math:

Current 2007 sedan 6MT = 306hp.

(306 hp / 3.5 liters) * 3.7 liters = 323hp.

That's my guess.

I bet it will be a bit more than that. maybe around 330. Those nissan guys have magical ways of making more power out of the VQ engines.

my dealer sales man just said last week that they got japanese mechanic here in Utah for something they could not figure out for repairing on G35 coupe and that mechanic said 08' G coupe would use either V8 450hp or v6 around 350hp.

So, I figure v8 would use TT for 450hp just like GT-R (or it simply means GT-R) and V6 would be VQ37 engine gains more HP.

That's just what I heard.
just for your information.

I really hope it has over 320hp and around 300lbs trque. Porsche can get 350hp out of a 3.8 litre V6 so its not out of the picture for nissan to be able to do the same thing.

I highly doubt they'll switch the basic block of the engine, it'll be a V6. I'd guess 315-330hp and definately not a TT.
