Welcome. The color is diamond graphite I believe. It wasn't available when I ordered mine. Otherwise it would have been a tough tough choice for me. Now that I have owned the carribean blue, I think I would have chosen the blue anyway. But DG is a nice color. Congratulations! Be aware of some of the recent discussions here on young guys with new G's

I think if you treat the car well it should hold up fine. There are some problems, but I've seen people jam their cars into gear at meets... When I double-clutch the gears line right up. Take the extra time to treat it gently and you should be fine for a long time.

Welcome!
If your car's a late '04, you probably won't have any trouble with the transmission. I think the grinds were showing up on the v1 and v2 trannys, and the '05 has a v5 (I think the '04s had the v4?). Most of the bugs are worked out by now.

Even if you do get some bugs, it's a warranty repair, nothing to worry about. Infiniti replaced my entire transmission for free when 5th started grinding.

The boys at Freshalloy say that the transmission is at revision 008 (according to the service papers).

welcome to the site. Not too many jersey meets on this site. There are a few new york meets if you're closer to there.

Newbies are welcome but some newbies are just stupid. They ask all these questions like we're gona drop everything and find the answers for their posts.

Do some research since your a new G35 owner, soak up as much nessecary info as you can by knowing about your car and other cars compaired to it.
