I hear a lot about this topic, both in other forums and among friends. To my understanding, only the coupe w/sport package has an LSD differential, but some salesmen at the dealer have been telling me that sport packaged sedans get the same treatment. Can anybody get the true scoop on who gets LSD and who doesn't? Thanks!
PS: Lead, this topic concerns you very well, as the LSD would be your number one weapon in autocross...
I just happened to look at my sticker today (don't ask me why I keep them... it's a strange habit I have) and it does list the LSD under the options section. Now, I already knew my coupe had it, but it occurred to me that if any of you sedan owners who got the sport package still have your sticker or if anyone is going to a dealership in the near future, that would be a way to find out whether or not the sedan has one as well. Or, perhaps someone has a sedan brochure and can look it up. Usually those things are pretty thorough.

I see on their web site where you can do car comparisons with other makes/models where it lists LSD as one of the advantages of the Sedan. So I guess that means it does have it. []

next question, is it helical or viscous...?

Good question. That would be a question for a service manager.

Now I can't find the damn thing. I saw it somewhere in the compare area where it talked about the traction control.

Silly guy. Look at your window sticker. The LSD is NOT mechanical. It is neither helical nor viscous. It is merely an advanced feature of the traction/VSC systems.
All of this to-do about nothing.
