Default I will never buy another infiniti again

All in said forum. If I had to do it over again with hindsight being 20/20, I will never buy another infiniti product again. The consumer affairs division does nothing but patronize consumers and offer no real solutions for the crap product Nissan/infiniti sells to the consumers!

I've enjoyed owning my G35 sedan for the first month but subsequent months have been nothing but taking it into the service department getting fit/finish issues not fixed! I've had american cars in the past and never such rattles and pops coming from a $30,000.00 + car!

Infiniti= sell the dammn car and don't standby the product!!!!!

Also, it sounds as if some of your problems may be related to a particular dealer's service dept. Not that you should have to, but curious, have you tried another Infiniti dealer's service dept. with the same results?

Without any details, it does sound like the service dept you're using isn't doing a great job. It could also be you got a lemon. It's no secret that there have been rattle issues with the car, but there are fixes for a lot of them... and I hardly expect a vehicle moving at 80mph to be perfectly quiet and still. I'm not presuming to know what your specific issues are and suggesting that there are fixes, but I do think Infiniti has made a quality product. They've even changed the center console design for the 05 model to address some of the rattle issues. I don't happen to like the look of the new console as much as the current one, but I like that they are listening to consumers and trying to address their issues.

Well the new changes aren't going to do me any good if I have a 04 now is it! Secondly, I've taken the car in three times for the same problems and everytime I get it back nothing gets fixed. I want to drive the car I paid for and I bought not a loaner that's been beat to S%*t. Plus everytime I'm paying a car note on the car I bought not the loaner they keep giving me. How many times do I have to get up earlier take time off of work to drop/pick up my car b/c infiniti techs can't fix the problem. It's great they give me a loaner but it's unacceptable that it's taken these "professionals" 2 months without any solutions. By the way I wrote that statement as a FYI not to elicit sympathy!

Well it looks as if I gotta take Friday off and go 25 miles out of my way to try another dealership and see if they can do anything. I'm begining to think that it's a bad spot weld in the roof area.

I have a popping noise coming from the roof line area between the B and C pillar on the right back passenger area in my sedan. Plus there is a rattle in the dash area that isn't going away. The service dept have had these issues addressed threee times and three times they have failed.

Do you have a sunroof? I've got a slight rattle I need to have the dealer look in that area. It only rattles when the sunroof is fully closed or opened, doesn't seem to happen when it's tilted up/open.

Two rattles isn't too bad, IMO.

It stinks that you need to keep going back for the same problem. Anyone would be frustrated in that situation. If the second dealership can't fix the problem, I would, as you suggest in your other thread, take the car back to your original dealer (who I'm assuming is the one who hasn't been able to fix it) and demand a refund or exchange. You should absolutely get what you paid for. Try to get in touch with the owner/manager of the dealership, not the service or sales folks. If you make enough noise, someone's gotta listen and do something about it.

I wouldn't be so rash as to switch to an Acura just yet though... I assume your loaners have not had the same issues?

Hmm we have owned many American cars, and every one had tons of rattles and problems. I mean TONS. My G35 has only has maybe a few minor issues. But its been 99% reliable!

I'll be hard pressed to buy another Infiniti myself. I love my G, but I feel I was taken advantage of by the IFS. It was my own dumb fault for jumping on a bad rate, but neither Audi nor BMW tried to squeeze the extra money out of me. That sort of behavior says a lot to me about the company as a whole.
