G35 Sedan + intake + exhaust = 20 HP increase?

Just wondering what the effect of a CAI (cold air intake) + a CAT-Back exhaust (Stillen or Borla) would have on an automatic G35 sedan.

If they are supposedly restrictive stock, I imagine the results are pretty good? Anyone have any dynos of one after these mods?

I wont say 20HP... Probably from 13HP min to 17HP max.

I would say the CAI is doing more of the HP work (since the stock intake tube has 2 resonators) and the exhaust system helpng CAI doing its work to more potential.

U wanna make more out of your CAI and exhaust? Save up around another $500 and get Crawford Plenum. After your intake tube... under your engine cover,... theres another air restricted compartment... the stock plenum. since they needed space for engine over... they made it really small... not enough space for succicient air to travel within the plenum for all 6 air valves. crawford simply increased the space inside the plenum and they claim that it increases air flow by %30. also I been hearing in 6mt forum that its one of the best performance part for the money.

I personally wont get after market headers and cat,... i heard it effects your warranty

I just got the Stillen exhaust and airbox. Subjectively, the throttle response and low end are noticeably improved. The car is also noticeablely louder at cruise, but especially on acceleration. If you like that sort of thing it's great. It's not so loud that it turns people's heads unless you're winding it out. Quite honestly, I'm still undecided if I made the right decision, but for $1400, it ain't going back.
It doesn't void the warranty. It only voids the warranty if the dealer can prove that the problem being repaired was caused by the aftermarket modification. Having said that, going for the supercharger/intercooler (which I can't afford anyway) would make me a little nervous, warranty-wise......
