My car died on me driving home from work yesterday. It started sputtering and I could smell fuel and blueish smoke coming out of the exhaust. I drove it about a mile further looking for a place to pull over and then called roadside assistance and had it towed to Infiniti of Tampa. They hooked me up with a loaner and I was on my way again. The service was great. But I'm worried about the car. Turnes out the fuel pump went bad and was throwing excess fuel into the engine. I know rich is better than lean but could there be any future problems since I drove with it sputtering for a mile. Also, wouldn't there be something wrong with the injectors too? Dont' they have to open for excess fuel to enter the engine?? Thanks for the info. Oh and I get the car back tomorrow,
