Thought I would show some pics of my headlights after I took the haze off. All it took was some PlastX by Mcguires and a drill with a 7" foam disc. The disc is practically mandatory, as I have used a cloth, and doesn't have the same results. It is funny how the PlastX bottle has a G on it...

I found it at Oreilly's for around $7. Most places have them in their paint section I am sure. You can do it with a foam pad by hand, but it takes no more than ten seconds with a drill.
I actually have found that Meguiars cleaner/wax combo works better than that 3m Plastix stuff...I have used both. You do not need a buffer with the Meguiars and it lasts longer as well. Just a friendly FYI....
Are those blue overlays on your headlights? Mike, I did use Meguiars, not 3M. You are right you don't need a drill, but it is like the difference between hand waxing and orbital buffing, someone always swears by one or the other.
