I've had this problem for some time now, but have never asked you gays (& gals!) for an idea. When I'm at work, I'm quite a ways away from the car, but I would come out & all the windows are rolled down. Now I know many are going to say, "oh you hit the button in your pocket". Well, as I said, I'm a ways away from it, so I thought this at first, but now I'm not so sure. It happened 3-4 times when I first got the car, but has only happened once in resent times. Now to add to the mix, the trunk started to be popped open along with the windows all being down, and...it has happened at home now, in the garage, it's happened like 4 times. I've talked to the dealer & they talked for quite some time before they suggested re-programming the fob freq. to another freq. Question #1. Can the fob / car be programmed to NOT roll down the windows even if the button is pressed the specific amount of time?? Question #2. The trunk release is a different button. It shouldn't have anything to do with the windows rolling down part, right? I'm so upset that the car is WIDE OPEN for anyone to take things out of it. Any good ideas would be gladly appreciated

That is very odd. I have no idea how to turn off the windows rolling down, or trunk release. The only thing that came to mind is an ECU reset. It probably won't work, but what do you have to lose? http://www.technosquareinc.com/350reset.htm
Take it to the dealer, I have a feeling some other frequency in your area is causing this. A friend of mine had that happen with his garage door opener and it WAS set to a frequency that other devices in his area use. Good luck. As far as your programming questions; your service manager should be able to answer you in that regard.
Perhaps an exorcism by Fr. Philip Lamont is in order?!
Check your trunk for a pair of midgets. I'm missing mine. They ran off about a month ago and haven't come home.
On a seroius note, I had a friend of mine that this happened to. He actually had everything replaced after trying to resolve the problem. It could be a number of different reasons, like others have already mentioned. Best thing to do is let your dealership figure it out. Good luck.

make it simple for yourself, and go to the dealer again and ask for your frequency to be changed, and if that doesnt solve the problem work it out from there.

Now that's funny! Prob won't help, but funny!
Thanks for the help guys. I've been in contact with my sales guy, (they take care of all service / interface to service & set up loaners) He said to bring in when I could, so I'll let everyone know if the re-prog. works or if we'll have to try another route!

This kind of conjers up an image of the recent insurance commercial where a guy is asking his [dis-interested] wife what a particular light switch does and, as he's flipping it on and off, the camera pans out to show the garage door on a house down the street slamming up and down on the hood of an old lady's car. Funny as hell and the look on her face is priceless!

I have gone out to my garage a couple of times and found my windows open, my guess is another key pressed against the unlock button, never happened anywhere else so far anyway.

My Daughter had a similar problem; she thought the car was possessed. Turns out she dropped the fob in water a while ago, after a while the guts started corroding, and doors/windows started opening & unlocking. If there's any chance it got wet, pull the battery, and try a different fob for a week. If the problem goes away, get a new fob...

i notice you wrote all windows roll down, but when i hold my unlock button only the front windows go down maybe im not doing something right
You do have a sedan correct? If all the windows don't roll down after about 5 secs while holding the unlock button, I would have it checked.

No, it never got wet, I'm sure of that!
