Question 2006 g35 coupe wheels on a 2006 g35 6mt sedan

I really want to replace my stock 18" rims on the sedan with the stock 19" coupe rims. I realize that the coupe rims are staggered. Will somebody please let me know if this is possible?

yes this is very much possible, but you going to get a bigger gave between fender and wheel, and the car is going to be higher off the ground...harsher ride, worse handling, poor fuel efficiency compared with stock...i know this cause i put them on my car for a week before i sold them...

How could you say worse handling. I can easily agree with some of the other stuff you posted, but worse handling? How?

THANKS for the reply. I realize that the ride will be a bit rougher, fuel economy will drop a bit and ride height will be raised. I dont know how handling will be compromised. To combat the height of the car I was considering installing a set of eibach springs to lower the car an inch or two. I really think the 19"s give the car an even better look and all this work will be worth it. Any other suggestions or comments?

DEFINITELY

but ONLY with the Eibachs! The Lowering kit is a MUST with 19 inchers...or you will be left with a off roader!

check out G35driver.com - there are some beautiful sedans lowered with 19s on that site!

if it was up to me, I would get the eibach kit even with the stocks, but no one makes a lowering kit for the X. I heard the eibachs and Z track spring fit on the X, but some people encoutered problems with other things...dont know if that is tru tho

Yes it is most definitely possible to fit the 19" coupe wheels/tire setup on a sedan. There will be NO appreciable raise or lower in ride height from doing so, as the tire profile is lower with those 19s. They have more or less the same overall rolling diameter. The only issue is respect to wheel offset. If you're on running on stock ride height, then they will look extremely aggressive and stick past the fender plane slightly. It's not my cup of tea, but some people do like that. If however, you have or is planning on lowering your car (and gained negative camber as the result), the same 19" coupe wheel/tire combo will look quite nicely and be just inside the fender plane.
