I didn't get a tailight cover, i painted it at my uncles shop, i'm also going to paint the rest of the tailights too

congrats on the car...looks nice but i don't like the painted tail lights.
that was one of the trademarks of the g35...now it kind of looks like the mitsu mirage's tail lights.

I do have tints..lol..they are blue...and i'm planning on painting the rest of the tailights the bigger one only leaving the led brake lights like two pairs of eyes sticking out the back..

From the way you describe it, I can visualize the painted taillights; all necessary lens will be exposed but it will have an interesting albeit unique look from the back, very nice, can't wait to see those photos. Cheers!
