Default iPod

This question is kinda stupid, but I'll ask it anyway!

I wanna keep a "factory" look to my G and mount an iPod some place where I can see it when I'm driving but not anywhere that it looks completely stupid. I know it won't look 100% factory, because unless your from another planet, you know that it doesn't come with an iPod mounted to the dash. I've hesitated on buying an iPod, because I don't know where I want it mounted and I DON'T wanna wire coming out of the ashtray or from behind the stereo! That's a little bit to "boot-leg" for me. If worse came to worse, I would want a cradle of some sort, (kinda like those oldschool cell phone cradles) but I don't know how I would wire it to the factory stereo. The fact that I know very little about stereos doesn't help.

I don't think I've ruded out EVERY possible spot to mount it, but I know I'm close. I don't wanna use any adhesives on the dash or anything and I wanna save drilling holes as a last resort. What would be real sick is if I could have it pop up with the Navi screen. Impossible, I know! That doesn't mean that it wouldn't be hot!

Are there any suggestions?

Thanks a TON!

Default Nice!

That's FUNKY!!!

I know a guy who may be able to do that. I just need to find him! I used to sell window tint at a custom shop and there was a guy who work there who would mount DVD players in the craziest places, and it looked nice. I've NEVER seen anything that looks THIS factory.

Is this an after-market "iPod" piece or is it fabricated? If it IS fabricated, how is it made? Otherwise, where can I get this piece or one similar to it?

I like I'm gonna like this website!!!
