Between the two cold air intakes which would you guy's choose, the stillen hi-flow air box or the pop charger/z-tube w/jwt recharge filter.

z tube is more bang for the buck, but the stillen gives the better overall performance. if you plan on going forced induction, then go with the stillen. if you only want a few bolt ons, then go with the z tube

I agree with the Z-tube option. It's like a 4" straight through intake, don't need any more than that. I've driven custom supercharged 5.3L Chevy's with roughly the same size intake as the z-tube, and they were pro built. The Stillen or others would, at most, only give another 1hp, but I would guess most of the time it would be fairly even.

You do realize you can combine the Stillen Cold Air Box with a 350z upper intake tube, don't you?

Default cold air intake

Stillen advertises up to 14hp with their cold air intake for the G35, you can add a Z tube for an extra 8 hp as advertised as well, they both work together well. I have yet to get the z tube but do have the intake and it's Stillen/K&N and is great. I am very happy with it.

Default intake

Smoke: why is the Injen intake better? I thought the Stillen/K&N had the best bang for the buck with the z tube added.

Dynos have shown that the Stllen CAB+Ztube tend to increase both HP and TQ., while the long tube CAI's like Injen increase HP but not so much TQ. Of coure, since any gains are within the 'margin or error' dyno wise, take them with a grain of salt. However IMO, since I spend the majority of time mashing the pedal at lower rpm's, love the kick in the seat feel of increased TQ but could really care less if I get marginally more HP at top end (saw 150mph once - that's enough), I went Stillen CAB+Ztube+Stillen dual exhaust. I can assure you that combination WILL be felt. All of which may be for sale shortly if I can get the dealer to take my offer before year end.

So what are you trying to say, that the stillen cold air box/ z-tube is the way to go. All I ever wanted was advice and the best set-up not lip.

Lip?!

Well excuse me but it's a simple, legitimate question in so much as your previous comments, ie. "Between the two cold air intakes which would you guy's choose, the stillen hi-flow air box or the pop charger/z-tube w/jwt recharge filter?" suggested you may not have known.

If you want some lip, listen up: FUCK YOU ASSWAD! Now, THAT's some lip.

And deservedly so, because:

1.) you are apparently too ignorant to even understand that "BEST" is subjective relative to a particular goal or desire. What do care to accomplish? More HP? More TQ? Lower intake temps? Sound cool? A combo of some or all?

2.) you are apparently too lazy to search for the facts on your own. The G35 has been around for almost 3 years and there is a ton of hard, factual info -including dynos- on several G35 and 350z enthusiest sites on almost every intake and intake combo.

3.) you are apparently too juvenile as to diss someone who actually bothered to reply with factual, helpful info arther than "I got it, so it's the best." to [another!] repetitive, stupid post by an ignorant, stupid, too lazy to do their own research newbie. I did give you advice... and, unlike others, actually quantified it as well...

Damn, I was in a good mood. Grow up.

Sheesh, did you see any after my post?
I sure didn't see any after yours.

About the only thing I distain on forums more than lazy-azz people who don't bother to search are lazy, smart-azz people who don't bother to search. This thread never had a fighting chance to begin with. Gad, one search for 'best intake' returns 6 pages x 59 threads/pg = 600 seperate threads on the topic. And that's only since the the site server change, I'm guessing an equal amount of threads prior.

Sorry, I think the 8" on snow in my driveway this a.m. also had something to do with my mood. I'm gonna go plow off my frustrations, I hate snow...
