Default Throttle Body Spacer

Just curious, does anyone know the approximate hp gain from one of these devices? Also, who sells them? Stillen does not. I have heard about 8hp gain, may be worth the investment. Also, I still have my sport wheels for sale (*see separate entry*) Thanks!

Are you talking a plenum (i.e upper intake manifold) spacer or a throttle body spacer?

I have not heard of a throttle body spacer.

However, the gains on the 03/04 engines with the plenum spacers are proven and worth the money. Take a look in the coupe forum I believe that JL is trying to set something up.

Default spacer (I am such a .....)

Maybe the plenum one, where can I find one? How much? HP gain? Voids warranty? Ease of install? I was actually speaking of a TB spacer BUT if the plenum spacers are worth it, where do I go to find one? Thanks!

Check the coupe section for a thread entitled group buy on spacers. There are a few different companies that offer them. The group buy is for Motordyne. You might also check out complete aftermarket plenum setups by crawford or kinetics but they do cost more.

I am not sure how much HP I gained on my Coupe with a 3/8 Plenum spacer from Motordyne but it was a noticable difference over stcok. It was my forst mod and I totally recommend it. I would say youget between 8 to 12 more HP with this mod. The great thing about it is that you get more power through the whole dyno curve and not just some power at top or bottom end.

Default Plenum spacer

How much, Dan, was the plenum spacer for your coupe? I did find the website but it's all greek to me. How easy was the install? I also noticed the hp gains are at the upper reaches of the rpm range based on the graphs on the website; and I also noticed that a 1/2" spacer will require a new hood for the car! I guess I would be getting the 5/16" one. Is there any real "seat of the pants" feeling i.e. noticeable hp gain? I am also interested about those "cut-ins" but I have a sedan. I like the special clear corners on your car, VERY cool. Let me know, thanks. michael_head@hotmail.com. Also if anyone knows where I can get a throttle body spacer for my car please let me know. Thanks all! Cheers!
