Default Automatically lock doors when driving?

Is there a way to setup the power door locks so that they will automatically lock once the car gets moving? Its a 'feature' on most other vehicles I've owned but doesn't seem to be working on my '06 sedan.

Help is appreciated.

Thanks!

KP Technologies has a module to do it. In fact they have a lot of modules to make things happen.

+1 on the kptechnologies. as a side benefit with the door lock module, you can then roll the windows up with the remote. BTW, if you don't know, you can hold down the unlock button on the remote to roll down the windows.

It's the same module? I thought you had to buy another one to get the window up feature???

it's the same module. I don't like the automatic door lock but I like the windows up, so I have to program it to not lock the doors.

+2 on KPTech. Had the module in mine, worked great. It is different then OEM auto locking on other cars though. On my Sol, the doors lock at about 5mph, but the KPT module locks after 6 seconds of having the ignition on. There is another module to add the mph feature.

I have a bit of a derail question. Why does anybody want their doors to lock automatically when they begin moving? That has to be the number one most annoying feature that has come to cars in the last 10 years. The number of F-bombs I've dropped when getting out of the front of my RX-330 and try to open the back door to get my daughter out only to have to reach for the keys, or the front door to unlock the doors is uncountable.

I hate it too.

maybe it's for those who live and/or drive in a less than desirable location.

I don't like auto lock doors either, so I diabled that function with the KP Tech module.

For some reason i was really disappointed when i found out that my G35x didn't come with that feature. Having seen this thread i will definitely get the auto lock module. How difficult would it be to self install that module. i am looking at the install guide and it looks made complicated.

I don't lock them when i'm in it, just when i'm not in it.

I guess I have the mentality that it is hard to get car jacked at highway speeds...
