Default move the brake pedal?

I'm wondering if I can move the brake pedal away from the gas pedal? or extend it? somewhere in the middle of the driver's side will be great.

Thanks in advance.

PS sorry typing tooooo fast... :P

msb

I really haven't heard of anyone doing this, but anything is possible with money.

I think the real issue is going to be if you have a manual or auto transmission. I think it's going to be much harder with a manual since space is going to run out in a hurry. You should have more room to play with if you have an auto.

Best bet (if there are no prefabricated aftermarkey parts) would be to contact a metal fabrication shop. They can cut up your pedal and reweld it to your liking. However, make sure the pedal is removed.......I sense bad things happening if they try to save time by working on the pedal while it's still in the car.

tintin...

i'm sorry... don't take my bad and cruel sense of humor the wrong way... i guess i just had a bad day...
i definately don't want to give the impression that myself or others on here are going to bash you for a simple mispelling...

of course, i have no knowledgable answer to your question.
that is why GZire is on the forum

I don't know if this will be of any help but my grandmother does not have safe enough ability to use the gas pedal so she got some extension that puts the gas pedal on the left side instead of the right side. The only thing I could find online was from this site: http://members.aol.com/handcontrols/left_foot_gas.htm

Maybe you can do something like that? Only other thing I can think of is what gzire said. Just make sure it's done at a place you can trust

Why do you want to change the pedal, is it because u can't reach it???
Cuz my chick is only 5'0" and when she drives she has her leg suspended in the air the entire time.....i suggested she get shoes 2 sizes bigger, that way she could rest her heel on the floor instead of the pedal.

she replied "whats wrong with you, thougt u like my leg in the air"

i'm a little curious too as to why u need to move the pedal and extend it. how far away are you trying to move it from the gas pedal? like go kart style?

oh and uhohNumber2brb...that shit was funny hahaha
