ok, heres the scenario. I went in to get buy my car last week(saturday). They did not have the car i wanted in thier dealership, so they said they could do a trade with another dealer.
I'm located in PA where we don't require 2 license plates, so I told the dealer to make sure it doesnt have the bracket drilled in the front bumper, since I was getting the car from Jersey.
Monday: Received a call from the dealer saying the trade is goin through and they should have the car in a day or 2. It snowed 6" later on in the night
Wednesday: Received a call from the dealer saying that the snow plow had damaged the bumper at the other dealership, and that they put on a new bumper WITH THE HOLES DRILLED on the front bumper for the license plate.
He offered to repair the holes if I wanted, or I can take another car coming in March 25 with a slightly different configuration, or he will try to divert a car with my specification from another dealership which will arriver approx. April 8, the day I leave for Hawaii.
I can't believe how much bad luck this car has in the snow. It parked perfectly find and still the snow got to it. Man, I could barely wait a week for the dealer to do the trade, now I have to wait another 1.5months.
I guess I should be glad that the dealer was honest with me instead of giving me a f'ed up new car.
Don't get that particular car(with the fixed front bumper).
I wouldn't even consider buying a new car that already got hit and needed a new front bumper.
You might want to see if you can get one through Grubbs Infiniti.
I think they ship your car to you(or at least they used to), anywhere in the U.S. It sounds like you already know exactly what you want for options/colors on your G. It's worth looking into at the very least.
Yes, Grubbs will ship a vehicle to you. But for a price... unless you are a VPP customer. Check out their site. They certainly have the nations largest number of cars in the nation.. if they don't have it, nobody does! I've got mine ordered directly from the factory. It will be here in May... exactly as I ordered it... hopefully
This is really not as bad as I thought it was going to be. I thought you were going to say you wrapped your G around a tree.
Anyway, my advice is to hold out for what you want. It's not like you're getting a cheeseburger that's got mustard on it. The G's a little more permanent.

with the grubbs suggestion, I'm gettin my car for 550 over invoice, so I dont think i can get it any cheaper at grubbs + shipping.
Yea April is only a month away, I've waited 2 yrs to finally afford this car, so 1 more month isnt too bad. The bad thing is that I'm leaving for Hawaii the day the car is expected to arrive, now all i'm goin to think about on my vacation is coming home to the G.
Hi uhoh. Welcome to 6mt and congrats on getting close to your coupe! Which dealer are you going through in the Philly area? There are considerable differences in the customer service, etc at the Infiniti dealers around Philly. I agree with partyman and would wait to get an undamaged car. Enjoy Hawaii...which islands will you be visiting? I just got back on Sunday and am still depressed...

Thanks, I am actaully gettin my car from Holman in Jersery, just right over the TP bridge. I tried dealing with the other dealers in Philly, but they wouldnt budge much on the price. I'm not sure of the service at Holman, but they provide you with a loaner for any services, even oil changes, are the other dealerships like that too? Which dealerships do you guys go to for service? West Chester and Ardmore is close to my home, Holman and Willow Groove is close to work.
Im going to stay at Oahu for 6 nights, the trip was pretty close to free thanks to my hilton hhonor points. Which Island were you at? If the same, any suggetions on things to do/see? I can't wait to go....Got my digicam ready for all them chicks in hula skirts n coconut tops.
Holman, West Chester, and Ardmore are all quality dealerships, are very professional, and treat you well (from my experience). Willow Grove is terrible. They are generally ignorant and unresponsive, and I feel like I'm in a used car dealership whenever I go there. Unfortunately, they are the closest dealership to my home and work (I drive past them on the Turnpike everyday), so I tend to go there for service.
You'll love Oahu. I've been to most of the islands at least once and was just in Oahu for 9 days. I assume that you'll be staying at the Hilton Hawaiian Village...it's a great location. The Hilton Waikoloa Village, on the Big Island, is awesome! You can swim with dolphins, snorkel in a private area, etc. Either way, you can't go wrong and there should be plenty of chicks in bikinis (might be tough to find them in coconut bras unless you get them liquored up first ). I had a recent post in the "off topic" section around a week ago. We can discuss further if you'd like (otherwise I might get in trouble for hijacking the thread ).
