It was still that good
-- That's it -- You don't really need car at University (if in a good sized
metro area), and damn sure don't need a car in Navy, you travel most
of the time. Europe has Awesome trains. Seriously, if assigned to
Ship's Company...owning a car is foolish. You are away 6 mos at
a time. Great travel! For the four years I was in, I was away from
CONUS for just under three years of that.

Not rich, but insurance is def. a bi*ch. almost 4k a year (full coverage) and why, well because I work rather hard for it, and since in my family's understanding, while one has not a collage degree, school is one's job. Hence I might say I worked for it.
