It seems to be that the G35 is purchased primarily by a certain class of people. I know this may seem like a wierd question to ask, but it just came to me and I was hoping to see a correlation that I assumed existed. Anyways, how many of you that have a G have been to college?
i'm actually finding the opposite. alot of variation of types of owners. i think because the Gcoupe is so unique. surprisingly, there are alot of under 20 yr old owners. but on forums like this you will see more of that. the average 35-40 yr old business person won't be "into" the car enough to be on here. i don't think you will get a fair response.
btw... i am 24 and still in college PT (didn't do it right the first time)

I second what msb said. The G is too broad a car for a certain "class" of people. More then likely most people who own it are either hardcore enthusiats, or just bought it for design (i.e. women ~ no punn intended) If considering a car like an Aston Martin, you may then destinquish a "class" of people. It really varies on how you see things.

I didn't contemplait how the results would be effected by the type of people present at the forums. I was under the impresion that most G owners were wealthy retired men as I read that the average age of those who own a G is rather high, but that may also be incorrect data as it was obtained through only those who replied to the forum.
the way they afford it is their parents. if there were a job out there that paid what it takes to buy a G at 17 (meaning no highschool degree or college), then i wouldn't have spent 5 years getting my engineering degree. the only way i was able to get mine (i'm 23) is through the signature grad program infiniti offers.
I am 18 and getting close to my G. I guess I can let y'all in on my little secret. Ramon noodles. They are like .25 cents for a case. Cheap and keep you alive. Life is a b!tch for a few years till you get there, but man will it be worth it. Living this way working part time at the local grocery store will be good enough to get you there, but you have to be diligent, devoted, and patient.

I lived off of the vending machine when I was in college. Granny Goose's Buttered Pretzels and Sourdough Snacks were the preference.

i'll have to give you props, working that hard is admirable. but, i wouldn't blow my life savings on getting a new car. you could invest teh 35K and retire 10 years earlier than all your friends. however, the thought of passing on your dream car probably isn't an option. let me just say, good luck.
Wealthy retired men usually dive SL600s and Bentleys...not Japanese sports cars. However, there are those who are spoiled and those who work just as diligently...just in a different field. IMO it is important to be able to distinguish between the two.

Well, first of all I wouldn't consider it blowing my money. I have considered investing it which would work, but after that much waiting who has time for that. Also, you need to spend money to make money. With a new G, anything is possible. Plus you have to factor in I'd have to buy a house and other junk so I'd spend the money eventually.
yah but a house will accumulate equity. Cars depreciate from the minute it's off the lot unless it by miracle becomes a collectible which due to mass production and relative commonality the G prolly won't ever be.
I am 21 and was partially paying my G with help from my parents. Sadly it has come to the point where I'm not working anymore and my parents are doing the payments for me. Hopefully once this hellish semester is up I can start working again.
The whole thing about being spoiled ... keep in mind that it's entirely possible for a rich kid to recieve a Ferrari at 16 and not be spoiled and for a relatively poor kid to recieve a $1000 junker and be thoroughly spoiled. It's all a matter of perspective

Completely off topic but...
GZire, the breadth and variety of your emoticon collection is truly astounding. If only I had the "bowing on his knees" guy, I could truly express my awe and admiration.
