Default Talk about Bad Luck . . .

OK . . . a little venting . . .

I am signing the deal for my G next week, I have 2 months left on my lousy Grand Am GT lease so I have been attempting to ensure the thing will be returned without causing me anymore $$$$ . . . and:

1. Last week a friend was driving my Grand AM (me in the passenger seat). . . managed to puncture the gas tank after running something over on the highway. Needless to say $200 for the tow back to where I live and $475 to fix the tank . . . not so bad $675 CDN all done. BTW I could never blame my friend for causing the damage . . . he did not have to drive my car . . .yada yada yada.

2. Today, while in Toronto . . . due to reasons which could have been avoided, a tow truck side swiped my front end . . . tore my front left suspension/wheel from the housing and caused damage to the front bumper and of course front left fender, throw in the damage to the left door (minor) and now I am going to be looking at $2000 plus to fix the damn thing.

So I am thinking:

1. Should I just keep the Grand AM in the garage after it is fixed until April 1, 2005 when the lease is up????? Or drive it and risk more damage to the wonderful piece of plastic that it is . . . ??

I mean I want to add some pieces to the 2005 G35 6MT at purchase time and right now I am eating through cash like Paris Hilton in a Jewlery Shop.

2. Should I cancel the purchase of the G35 because obviously I can not handle the responsibility of driving a vehicle with out damaging it . . . BTW I am 31 yrs Old, self-employed. This choice is my least favorite!!!! And least probable.

PM Yacoub, I'm sure he'll buy your Pontiac from you.
He fell in love with his loaner car that the dealership gave him.

Drive the Pontiac, you are paying for it.

Why didn't the insurance pick up these charges?

Unless you caused the accidents, they are just that.......accidents. Wait for the G, it'll be worth it.

By the way, one more accident and you'd better visit a priest.

I've seen him post some on My350Z.com, so I don't think he's sold yet.

Needless to say the Canadian Insurance industry in Canada sucks. Had I claimed either of these two beautiful incidents I would have seen increases to my insurance in the neighbourhood of 25-35%.

Of course this is not the best thing to do especially when I am just about to approach my insurance company for coverage on a 2005 G35. Which I have been told will be lower than what I am paying now . . . Arrrgghhh, go figure . . . BTW I pay approximately $275 CDN a month for insurance with a $2000 collision deductible.

If I could move my business to Miami where many of my friends live, I WOULD . . . god bless America. LOL

I can get a G35 for approximately $2500 less in the United States than I can here in Canada. VOLUME VOLUME VOLUME . . . . Blah! lol
