I think it's BS because the only difference are the formats as stated (CD R/W etc. etc.) I have like 2 MP3s on mine and it's fine and haven't had a problem with it "YET" and hopefully wouldn't in the future.

I just experienced this problem in my CD player when I burned some new CDRs. If I play my homemade CDs without using the track selector, they play just fine. If I try to use the track selector feature, the first 3/4 of the songs on the CD will play normally, but as I get to the tracks towards the end of the CD, they start to skip up and the last song on each CD won't play at all. This issue only occured when I used the track select option, and if I just let the each CD play all the way through, they plays just fine.

I wonder if this is the same symptom that is affecting everyone else?
I also wonder if it matters which brand of CDR you use or the recording software?

I used 700mb Sony 1x-48x CDRs and Sonic RecordNow! software.

It is definitly not my problem. I'm not using CD's I've burned, but actual store-bought CD's.

They are not dirty and only pop up in the morning after the car has sat overnight.

Just finished reading my '05 Coupe owner's manual last night. The '05 manual states that the system will play MP3 and WMA files on CD-R. They also state that these CDs can be navigated from file to file, folder to folder, etc.

I haven't tried it yet, but I will likely be trying it soon. I'll let post back if I encounter any problems.

Hey guys, I just had the CD player head replaced in my 04 coupe yesterday. The player was playing static sometimes, playing nothing other times, and just plain possessed. So, I took it in yesterday and they just swapped out the head. I did have one CD in there that was burned; it was fiddy cent. But now it seems to be working fine.
