Default Bring on the snow.

This is the third winter I've had my Blizzaks. Bring on the snow. You guys that garage your cars in the winter should reconsider. It is a blast.

hey don - just curious, do your Blizzaks have dual cell technology? You know, soft open cell rubber on a first layer fused to a harder closed cell base? If so, how many miles have you got on them thru the 1st two winters and have you noticed any appreciable loss of grip on ice as the open cell layer wears yet?

Hehe, got ot admit I get a kick out of sliding around too! It's a great way to hone/sharpen your driving skills, plus, it's a whole lot easier on your tires then doing it on dry pavement!

Don - I share your feelings too. The funny thing is that I took off my Blizzaks on New Year's Eve since the weather outlook here in Dayton has been so warm. The lows are going to be in the mid 30's for the next 10 days! Guess nature is making up for the 16 inches we got during the week of Christmas...

DH,
I'm not sure if my tires have that tech or not. I assummed they all do, and I kind of wondered why that even exists. I have not noticed any slip in traction, so if it exists, its been very gradual. I have about 20K miles on them and they still look good.

How is the wear on the inside of your tires?

G35's, 350Z's, and Skylines usually wear on the inside of the tire, where you can't see it unless you know to look there.

PM,
The inside wear is much better than the wear on the stock tires; don't know why. Just had an alignment so future wear should be on track for both sets.
