So as some of you may know or not, I just bought my G35 after driving a heavily modded 03' Cobra. Love the G35 but the power is just not there unfortunately.(at least without spending way too much money)
So I have decided to keep the G35(stock mod wise) and am buying a black exterior/red interior,6-speed, GTO for 24.5k brand new this Friday.(after GMS and rebates) The car is not the best looking thing in the world, not ugly, but plainer than i would like. It has a great interior and handles decently. I am ordering a heads, cam, and nitrous package that should get me to where i want to go if I want some speed. The 'G' will just be for pimpin'
The car feels a lot stonger than the G35, I heard the GTOs can hit mid 13's stock after some practice around 104-107 MPH in the 1/4. Well find out, now I can have a another V8 to mod. Looked at getting another Cobra but I just couldnt bring myself to get another. Miss my other 2 much.

04 Pontiac GTO- black on black,6 speed, intake, exhuast, and cam/heads coming soon.
Can't say much for the appearance but "2005 GTO will have the LS2 engine. 400HP!" "GTO for 24.5k brand new this Friday" is a smoking deal if you are soley talking about performance.
pontiac GTO huh loki....well i cant say i or any one i know really care for the GTO's over all look, but the horse power is certainly there...and with the plans you have for the GTO it certainly sounds like a righht move....good luck and congrats on your V8.

Anyway, it's good to hear your keeping your G.
This will balance out the good and evil in your garage.
It's really a Holden. I like the GTO, the first ones were plain cars, the Lemans with a big engine. I had a 65 Lemans with a 326 V8 and Powerglide 2 speed automatic transmission.
I hear what you're saying gard.
But the older GTO/LeMans are gorgeous. Comparing that to the new ones is like comparing apples and oranges.
I'll take the classic muscle car over the new technology anyday.

Although I think the heads/cam will do just fine for a while. As far as the interior, it is really quite nice, and well put together. No creaks anywhere, and pretty much silent inside, even more so than my G35.(Interior is better in the G35 though) I guess that this car kind of strays from the Pontiac rattles due to it actaully just being a differently badge Holden Manaro. Ive driven Pontiacs and this one feels way different, especially with the IRS. Well see, going to pick it up today.

Speaking of big engines...I just saw Blade Trinity last night.
Anytime I see a blade movie, for about 2 weeks after...I find myself looking around online at how much it would cost to buy an old Charger and supe the son'bitch up. God, I love the sound of fast cars.
Well I bought it, and its a pretty nice car. I had to go with a black on black which actually looks better. It has red guages so it looks nice. The red was just way to much 'red' if you know what I mean. Im going to get some pics tommorow of both cars together if anyone is interested.

well ... last I checked the GTO should take a G in a straight line. Don't go purely by horsepower numbers. Take an Elise for example ... only 180 horses out of its lil 4 banger but it'll burn the G in the straights and twisties....of course it's only pushing a ton
