Default Wheel-nut torque; floor jack ok?

Could someone tell me the recommended tightening torque for wheel nuts on the '04 G35 coupe?

Also, will it damage the underbody to use a floor jack without an insert that has a groove for the sill? Or, should I just use the jack that came with the car? Any experiences with this?

Thanks!

If you put some padding on top of the floor jack, the jack point won't fold over. I used some old rags (probably about 8 layers) and just put 'em right on top of the floor jack.

Those jack pads are expensive! But I suppose it's worth it. I should get some as well. The car's emergency jack is so much slower than a floor jack that I would recommend you get the pad w/sills or just throw some old rags on there if you need to jack the car right away.

The torque specs should be in the manual I think?

I use a regular 2 1/4 ton floor jack 2 times a yr when I swap out my summer and winter tires and have never had a problem. Torque ratings were 80 lbs. on my Acura and are about the same on my G35. I have a torque wrench but usually do not use it. I can put enough torque on it my self and do not have a problem. I also use tuner lugs for my summer wheels. They are great! I use the stock luges on the stock wheels but may use the tuner lugs also. They are really easy to work with. I use an 18 volt drill with an extensioin and a socket to put them on abou 95% and then torque them down my self. It save a me a bunch of time and is cheaper than an impact wrench.
