Default Chipped my center console today...

I was getting my tuner lug key out of the center compartment today when I dropped it on the center console to the left of the shifter and it left a good size chip in tht plastic. [banghead] Damn it!!! I went to my dealer and of course warrenty does not cover it and they said it would be $125 + tax + labor! I called everythingG35.com and got it for $99 shipped! 27% off. They are really great to deal with and they had the part in and shipped it today. It is not a huge chip but that is all I can see and it will drive me NUTS for 3 years since I only have 1000 miles on my car.

They said I could replace it myself as it is pretty easy to take off the console. Has anyone ever taken off the center console on their AT? If so, is it easy? nerve racking? I have a diagram off the net to remove it but if anyone has any other sites or tips on removing it and replacing it, I would really appreciate it.

I was getting the tuner lug key out b/c my 19" rims were taken off today getting ready for winter but I enjoyed them for 4 months already and can't wait to put them back on. Even thought the stock rims are 18" man they look tiny compared to my 19" with the diff. offset and huge rear lip. BTW, tuner lugs may be nice for not scratching the rim where the lug nuts are but man you have to be too careful with them. They are easy to round and contort out of place. I think I will research some other lugs beforw the spring.

Damn I want spring time already.........[!]
