Weird Stuff

I went over to a friends house earlier to pick him up to go to a party. He got in the car, and when he closed the door, the passenger window went down about 4 inches. I thought that was pretty weird. We got to the house where the party was, and when we got out and shut the doors, the passenger window went down again.

Someone tell me what is going on with my window before I take it to the dealership.

You need a new window regulator. Also, they typically replace the motor as well. I have dealt with this twice. IF you have the issue again, and you cannot get the window up, here are two methods to try:

1) Roll down the window 3/4 of the way and then roll it back up without using the one-touch auto roll-up- just pull the window switch enough to manually roll it up.

2) Open the door and close it with a fair amount of force. This usually jobs the regulator enough to aloo for the window to be rolled up.
