Default Dead Battery & Windows Up?

I've searched the user manual and posts for an answer but what happens if the coupe's windows are fully closed and the battery is dead? How do you get into the car to release the hood if the windows are in the full up position?

I'm betting that there will always be just enough juice to get the door open at least once.

Crawl in through the trunk would be my recommendation, if possible. Also I wonder if the window might just pop out from under the roof when opening the door. I know closing the door without power will mess up the roof but maybe opening it won't

The question is about the window not going down far enough to clear the roof sill. I just gotta believe there's soemthing that could be done besides breaking the glass or screwing up the roof.

From my experience, as I killed the battery the first night I had the car home, it is not a big deal.

The windows push up into the rubber to provide a more airtight seal to cut down on wind noise. I dont' think they are actually up into the body. They should flex enough to just open the door. I know that BMW and Mini is similar to this.

If anyone disagrees, let me know. I'm always interested.

As TxAgG35 said, the windows probably flex enough to open the door. Because of the way the roof curves, it will probably pop out from under the roof easier than it would go back in. So I'd guess that slamming it closed without power would damage the roof or the window, but hopefully you'd have it jumpstarted or whatever by that time.

I windows don't "need" to roll down to clear the side of the car. I had window problems (motor died) and the window cleared the outside without any problems. The seal is not as good but enough to take it to get it fixed.

Well..I dunno if this apply to infiniti cars or not. But on my old bmw...U actually would turn the key in the key whole and simultaniously pull the handle up at the same time. U would turn then key and pull and feel a little bit of resistance...and it would unlock. U can try this on the G...I'm not going to say it works 100% plus it takes a few tries to get it to work right...but it doesn't hurt to try. There are also otherways...but this is what I use to know for bmws. Owners would instead of doing this key method...would actually hook a battery through the rear tail lights and that would provide power to the locks. I'm sure dholly has the answer...but why don't U go try to key method and see if it works. [] Good LUCK!

Thanks for the feedback. Always better to hear from someone who's been there.
