Default Lets see who can answer this dumb question?

Do stock Brembo Brakes have stainless brake lines?
[wstupid]
Stop Tech make front and rear stainless lines, price is reasonable. You guys think is worth it?

Stock Brembo lines - No they are not SS.

You need to be carefule about switching over. I have heard of a few people that switched to stainless and one of the lines came off while driving i.e. loss of brakes!!!

That's more of an installer error than it is a fault with steel-braided vs stock. Steel-braided will definitely increase braking feel, and are less prone to rupturing/breaking, etc. Look into it. It would be a worthy mod if you don't want to go through the changes with upgrading the disk/caliper.

True that's an installer error but something to consider. To me they seem like a waste of money. I have the brembos and run super blue brake fluid (high temp fluid is key) in my car. I have run several track days and haven't had a problem with "spongy" brakes. My friend has a 350Z and hasn't had any problems at the track either and he works for Nissan at their proving grounds here in the desert.

The steel braided will give you a little stiffer feel because they will not expand like the stock lines but it's your call. Keep in mind that brakes don't like to be slammed instantaneously. You need to squeeze onto the pedal. Think of the stock brake lines as adding a little dampening as you apply brake pressure.
