god damn, she said that lower is also a dangerous thing to do.
OMG.....im so pissed now. Why the hell all the older generation ppl think different than i do??
Probably because she is in the business and knows the danger. As far as why the older people think different, remember, we have been around and seen more stuff than you have.
or she could be trying to steer you from one product to another, which she will make a better profit from...i find it hard to really rely on the advice of the small tuner shops in L.A.[bs]

diztorted, u have to understand. I am Asian. Asians' parents are much different than American's parents. They expect to join every parts what their child is doing. Even we work for our own money, we buy for our own wants or stuffs. They might still help us a little bit on making decision and negociate a little bit with us.
I know all the American's parents don't help their children much after they turned 18. But I am not a "pure" American" and i am from Taiwan. No matter how long i live in here. My parents will still be like the way they use to be.

trust me, thats not just an asian thing. i'm full blooded american and my mom try's to tell me what to do with everything. and i can name two other friends that are treated the same way. i'm 19 and i'm not even "allowed" to move out yet. part of it is they bought the current car i drive and so if i try to move out they won't let me take the car. i can really get detailed, but i won't. i feel your pain.

I understand the mentality, my dad weighs in on EVERYTHING I do. Keep in mind I moved out of my parents house well over 4 years ago (July of 2000). I'm actually first generation american in my family (first person in my family, extended included, who was born here in the states), so I do feel your pain. The simple fact is that I'd never let my dad go to the shop with me to look at this stuff. It's my money, it's my car. It's a generation gap that you'll never overcome. Just need to pick your battles.
