Hello everyone. I been off 6mt.net for a while.

anyway, I finally got arid of my 2001 Altima GXE.
I picked up a 2005 Chocal grey or smoke(Nissans color name) Nissan Altima 3.5SE Auto. I really wanted to pick up a G35 Coupe but... as you all know life throws at you some unexpected speed bumps... so I had to settle with a Altima.
I know its not a G but I'm happy with it. Pretty damn fast for a regular midside sedan. I already beat a Mustang GT, For Torus and to my surprised I also beat a Black G35 Sedan with Clear coners, Tints, Chrome rims, intake and maybe exhaust by a half car length(Shut off at 85)
Anyway, I just wanted to say bye to everyone here. You guys are great.

wow you hit 4000 posts already!

Yeah I'm really liking my Altima. Especially the interior. Very stylish compared to 2002-2004. and its faster than I expected. Picked it up about a month and half ago. So far I got tints done and 8300K HID. My car didnt come with factory HIDs. No more mods planned as of now. I'll post pics of my car as soon as I can.

I'm still puzzled about the race against the G Sedan though. I thought G Sedans were faster than 3.5SE Altimas. We were both pushing it hard.

Howdy Kango, remembered the name, but couldn't place you for a while.

As for the Altima, it's basically the same engine as the G with slight mods to the intake and exhaust. Running against a G with chrome rims could easily chop a couple of tenths off a 1/4 mile (saw a post of a guy down here. He ran his G with stock, then after market wheels back to back. He lost 4(?) tenths in the 1/4, the run with stocks were faster). Seeing as how the G sedan was running chrome (and most likely 19's), this plus a good jump off the line means you are right there, or in front of us.

Good choice in a car. My friend just sold his 3.5 Altima and went with a Murano (Moo Rano - [

]) due to an expansion to his family...baby girl.

I think the 3.5 Altima is a great car, not a bad choice at all.

Hehe I never had a G. G Coupe is still my dream car.
The car I raced looked just like Bizz's friends Black G Sedan which I saw in his cardomain site. Maybe it was him?
Anyway... my car was $24,800. It has sport package which addes spoiler and fog lights. No bose, no nav, no leather, no vdc but has everything else. I'm making nice low payments thanks to my saved up money for G (I made $17k downpayment) and now i'm paying about $230 a month for 4 years.. Yes I could've got G coupe but if I got the G... i would've got everything with it which would cost around 39k. I cant make that kind of payments yet. I'm only 22 by the way. I know there are some of you lucky guys around my age or even younger driving a G... but I think Alti 3.5Se is good if not above average for someone around my age I think. So G coupe can wait... maybe in few years something better be out.

Man if it was your dream car you could have gotten an used one. Oh well, at least you are in the Nissan family. Altima's a nice car but I don't like it the girl I dated last had one and she played me out so I don't like Altimas anymore. J/K Altima's a nice car I like it

I looked at those recently and agree that is one fast mutha. TOO fast to put the kids in! But if I was looking for a fast 4-dr AT with FWD, it would be at the top of the list. Enjoy Kango, best of luck with it and Life. See ya!
