So I guess the 298hp is offical now for the 6mt. But the torque is only 260lbs.

Right. Which may mean the hp happens in upper rpms. maybe

The exhaust is described as
"Straight, one on each side with dual chrome finisher"
Does it mean a true dual system?
If so, thats cool, oem upgrade part for 03-04 g35s

Torque
270 lb-ft @ 4,800 rpm (G35 Coupe)

260 lb-ft @ 4,800 rpm (G35 Coupe 6MT)

WHAT?! the AT has 10lbs of torque?!

I can't believe they are keeping the 350Z's HP at 287. I guess they'll probably give the 298 HP stat to the 35th anniversary edition only.
If this is the case, that's a pretty insignificant gain and not really a valid selling point to help bolster sales of that version of the Z.

They must have gotten too many complaints about the Brembos from customers like me.

My brembos work great. I'm sad to see them go. I think they add to the aesthetics of the car. I often see people staring at them trying to figure out what they are. []

Personally......
I love the fact that our Brembros look exactly like the Brembros used on the R32-R34 Skylines in Japan.

Talk about sweet! []

....and it gained weight. 3512 lbs now for the 6MT. Wow, that's 77 more pounds. Infiniti's website shows 3435 for the 2004 6mt. Between the drop in torque and weight gain, I don't expect to see any performance gain.

Hi,

If I go for the '05 coupe sport A/T, I would actually prefer the '04 18" rims but prob won't be possible to do that; to be fair haven't seen car in person
yet to form an opinion.

Mp3 playback from the 6-disc changer...I wonder if that HU will work in the '04 and if so how much it might cost to purchase (or even exchange). My only complaint about the current HU is its lack of MP3 support and I bet getting an '05 deck would be cheaper than the double din kit + aftermarket deck, plus the lights would match and everything.
