I also bought my G35C from Grubbs. I am going to give a semi-detailed summary of the situation here.

Thoughts?

Just a quick note about my experience with a factory spoiler - when I run a stream of water onto the decklid, it pools on the decklid in front of the spoiler. It takes a minute or two to full drain when I rinse the car after washing it - and I still have water line down the back of the decklid from water that was hidden under the spoiler. There aren't any really clear paths for the water to escape, just some sectioning in the foam under the spoiler to provide gaps.

I do have the factory spoiler on my car, part of the factory aero package so indicated on the window sticker.

I've never pulled the spoiler off, and I've never removed the insulation/carpeting on the inside of the decklid to look at the install.

Just my experience. YMMV, and apparently does.

Kal.

I've been watching this one, and assumed there must be a misunderstanding or misscommunication in here somewhere. Hopefully all works out!

By the way, for those that don't know, Kal's acronym is, "You Mileage May Vary" []
