Default Angel Eyes for G35?

I saw this pic on the other forum and wanted to know where you can get this. Do you guys think its custom made? Ever since i saw the angel eyes on the 5 series when it first came out i been mad on getting it (i was close to buyin a 3 series..well anyway long story)
Now that i have the G35 i thought it could never happen but after seeing this....i need to get this ASAP..

Thats G35lins car....aka Ed from Team Transport. Hes are custom made, he made them himself and he won't tell anyone how to do it. Hes also doing them for a price...I believe. Those AEs cannot be seen while your lights are on. So they aren't as bright as bmw AE. If u can wait...G35kid has been telling me AE will be coming out in Novemeber. I dunno if they are for the sedans or for the coupes. Ask him. As for G35lins AEs, I have a vauge idea of how he has done it.

http://www.xoxide.com/elwire.html

I have a feeling he used these to create the AE affect. These wire are called EL wires...they are used in computer modding to go around edges of computer cases and go around moldings to add color. They aren't bright...which explains why U can't see them when your lights are on...but when its dark u can see them well. The EL Wire can be cut to any length...and run on 12volts I think...if not 6volts. I also think G35lin didn't use 1 strand going all the way around...I think he wrapped 2 or 3 strands into something like a brad and went around the light housing. I'm not sure how thick the wire is...you can call and ask xoxide.com. I've never used the EL Wires...just the cold cathodes in my computer. Good Luck!

It looks to me almost like he may have just mounted a ground effects light in there behind the bumper for the blue effect that is going on behind the grille and in the bottom air dams. You can kinda tell by the pattern of the reflection off the bottom piece of the 2 air dams beneath the bumper(you can almost see the light in the reflection).

As far as the headlights are concerned...That's a good question as to how he did it. Possibly made some sort of holes or perferations in the back cover of the headlights so that the blue from the ground effects light could filter into the headlight assembly.

I think boggie might be right on here. I've used the EL wires on my PC. They can be driven off a 12 volt source (like a car battery) and are very flexible so they can be moulded to most anything. I actually think they came from the automotive and marine industries (just like neon and cold cathodes) and then somebody realized PCs have a 12 volt rail as well and the products were marketed to PC modders.

We'll have to leave this one up to the masses to deem this mod as either rice or bling-bling.

I think I would freak out if I saw this coming down a country road toward me at night. My $0.02 is that it looks cool to look at but I'd never do it to my car. Does that make sense?

To answer your question...I believe this is a pretty good explination of how the bmw angle eyes work...at least the stock ones. If you look at the new 5 series they have etches in the ring just like in the website. As for the DDEs made for bmws...I would have no clue...they don't seem to have etches of any kind.
