Default Oh so close...

Well, there we were on 121 (stop and go traffic for miles) and I ask Scott (who is driving) "What is that up ahead?" It's a Chrysler Crossfire (first time I had ever seen one). This guy thinks he is HOT and gets everyone's attention at every stoplight. When we finally get to the open highway (I am thinking COOL maybe he can open her up and the Crossfire will want to race). Scott says, "Here he comes" (my heart is pounding) and he flies up in the left lane (unfortunately there is an SUV in front of him)! Scott immediately gets behind him and we stay up on him at around 90 mph. He doesn't move over or change lanes to open us up a spot - NOTHING!! Our exit to come home is ahead and Scott backs off to move over; we both sighed and didn't say anything at all for a quite a while.[irk]

We talked about it later that evening and Scott said that the Crossfire does well at high speeds but the G could take one from a dead stop...who knows? I guess we will have to find out another day.

A regular crossfire only puts out around 215 Hp so either at low revs or high your G should be able to take it

Yeah,
Those SRT-6's are supposed to put out like 330 HP.
They turbo'd the engine to make it actually peform somewhat like what it's looks would lead you to believe it could. Those things are pretty pricey too.
A regular Crossfire costs just about the same as a G35 coupe, but if you get the SRT-6, they are around 46-48 grand and are relatively rare. Anyone with half a brain who wants to spend 46-48 grand on a sports car will be buying the new 2005 Corvettes instead of the Chrysler shitbox.

Does it really matter if you guys won or lost to that P.O.S.?
Regardless of the fact if it was the super charged x-fire or not, you guys looked good, win or lose.

The engine for the SRT-6 is definiely straight out of a Merc. I know merc stopped using that paricular engine but I'm not sure if it was an AMG engine. I think it was

Ahh...the old SR-121 traffic. However, my favorite is SR-183 around Bedford/Euless.
