I assume you're referring to the limited slip differential. The answer is a limited slip differential is always a good thing. The thing is, if you're considering paying for the wheel/tire upgrade, why not just get a 6MT coupe which comes with all of this stuff plus Brembo brakes?

One additional question, is the tire and wheel package worth it? I've changed the rims on every car I've owned so far and since my close friend owns a tuning shop, I know I'll be changing the rims on this car in the near future. However I saw that the tire & wheel package comes with a rear differential. Is that worth the extra money?

When I was buying mine, I got the tires/wheel package. I believe it's a lot easier to find a car that does come with it vs. a car that doesn't (since most people do want the bigger rims). I also got it because I wanted the rear slip differential. I've been debating getting the Nismo 18" rims that fit the 350Z/G35.

To each their own, though []

I don't want really want a manual. My last car was a 5-series with a manual which was great but turned into a pain in the ass since I have to commute from downtown L.A. and back. I suppose I might as well get the tire and wheel package and try and restrain my urge to change the rims. Maybe save that money for a AP Racing Brake kit.
